2nd release from Miguel Barros' Pional project on Barcelona's Hivern Disc label, including a stunning Blue Daisy remix and a synth-heavy psychedelic rework from Gavin Russom. There's no clear definiton for the original 'We Have Been Waiting For You', but there are traces of harmonised indiepop vocals a la Delphic, disco drums and bass from the DFA textbook and piano keys from the deepest New York nightclub. Gavin Russom's remix replaces the disco drums with a palette of lithe Latin machine percussion and tranced-out, frothy synthlines, but the highlight belongs to Blue Daisy. Swaddling the vocals in fluctuating reverbs and compressing the groove with an almost hallucinatory effect, his sub-100bpm aquajack motion is made to dazzle and seduce in equal measures.
